Pengertian, Rumus dan Contoh Kalimat Passive Voice

A. Pengertian.

Passive Voice dalam bahasa Indonesia dikenal dengan istilah kalimat pasif (kebalikan dari kalimat aktif). Dalam hal ini subjek dalam kalimat passive voice dikenai atau menderita atas sebuah pekerjaan. Dalam bahasa Indonesia kalimat pasif biasanya diikuti prefix berupa di- atau ter-. Contohnya kalau kalimat aktifnya menginjak maka kalimat pasifnya menjadi diinjak atau terinjak. B. Rumus Passive Voice.

Rumus Dasar Dari Passive Voice adalah: TO BE + V3. Berikut ini adalah rumus passive voice dalam semua tenses. Setelah mempelajari dan memahami semua rumusan di bawah ini, pelajari juga rumus praktis cara memahami passive voice pada 16 tense.

C. Contoh Kalimat Passive Voice.

I purchased this house yesterday	>	This house was purchased by me yesterday
Miss. Janet teaches us everyday	>	We are taught by Miss. Janet everyday
Tyson knocked down Chris John easily	>	Chris John is knocked down by Tyson easily
I will always love you	>	You will be always loved by me
You may pay the bill by credit card	>	The bill may be paid by credit card

Jika diperhatikan contoh terakhir, maka tidak hanya auxiliary (kata kerja bantu) yang ada dalam rumus tenses saja yang bisa digunakan dalam kalimat pasif, melainkan auxiliary lainnya seperti may, can, could juga bisa digunakan untuk membuat kalimat pasif.
